I Didn't Want to Write It

I did NOT want to write my cancer patient devotional--you know, the one that will be published February 4. I thought I was done with devotionals and wanted to write science fiction. I was NOT going to write a devotional book.

Then my agent called. He'd been unable to sell my second sci-fi novel and we parted ways. I felt rudderless.

I finally listened--reluctantly--to a friend who'd been encouraging me to write the devotional.

I knew it would be painful since it was based on my own cancer battle. It was. But I hope it will encourage other cancer patients because I've been there.
