About the Author

Bonnie Doran discovered science fiction at the local library while in elementary school. She devoured Robert Heinlein's Space Cadet and continues to read science fiction as her preferred genre.

Bonnie's interest in writing also began in elementary school. Her first poem (about the planet Mercury) was published in the school’s collection of student works. She served on the editorial staffs of student newspapers in junior high, high school, and junior college.

During college, Bonnie wrote several articles for a publication of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, news releases for her church, and weekly columns for a local paper.

Bonnie holds an Associate in Arts degree from Pasadena Junior College. She studied chemistry for two-and-a-half years, switching to journalism during her last semester. Rather than become a perpetual student (which she automatically became as a writer), she took a job as a secretary.

After two years, she accepted a short-term mission assignment with the Far East Broadcasting Company and worked on Okinawa, Japan, for two years. While there, she served as a secretary, scriptwriter, and programmer. She also wrote weekly articles for a local television guide.

After her return, Bonnie worked in a number of settings as secretary and bookkeeper. She now works part time as the bookkeeper for her church.

She has sold six 24 devotional writings, six magazine articles, and a short story. She is currently working on a science fiction novel for young teens.

Bonnie is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers, Lighthouse Writers, Brighton Writers (a critique group), and the Denver Area Science Fiction Association.

Bonnie lives in Littleton, Colorado. Her husband is an electrical engineer specializing in lasers as well as an amateur astronomer. She enjoys writing, cooking, and scuba diving.
